Tell us about yourself. Where are you from?

I was born in Northern New Jersey into a family of 9 boys and 2 girls, me being the 9th child. I moved to North Carolina when I was 2, spent 14 years in Miami, and now I'm enjoying my time here in New York!

How did you get started in this field?

So, it's an interesting story! I just happened to be in a hotel lobby meeting a friend when I was approached by an agent who was in town scouting for new talent. He stopped me and asked if I was a model, and I just kind of laughed.

I was in my 30's, a master carpenter, and owner of a construction business; modeling or acting never entered my mind; I had a family to feed. He eventually convinced me to send in some pictures to a reputable agency, which I did. We set up a meeting, they signed me, and I was on set at a job the very next day! I loved it, modeling was a far cry from swinging a hammer and hanging off rafters! I still did that, but slowly switched over to more modeling and acting. The funny thing is, I never get called in for a role of a construction worker, even though I was one!

Who are some of your favorite icons that have influenced you?

Both of my parents were vaudeville dancers. They met on a showboat, married three months later, then got out of the business and stayed together for over 60 years! They were my first idols. I grew up watching all of the old films from the 30's, 40's, 50's and beyond. Cary Grant is my favorite - his style, class and self deprecating humor are some of the things I love! I also love Errol Flynn, Clint Eastwood, Daniel Day Lewis - there's so many.

In music and art, I was heavily influenced by Beethoven, Gershwin, The Beatles, Leonardo DaVinci, Michelangelo, Klimt, and Renoir.

Hobbies?

I play guitar and mandolin, paint (oils and acrylic), and write. I also love to workout (I'm a martial artist and personal trainer also), and trying different things to challenge myself.

Career Highlights?

I've had a few. This business has been so amazing. I've traveled to Europe and completely out of the blue, walked up to a major clothier for men, looked up, and saw posters of myself in the store windows! I've also met some great people. I suppose getting the chance to "fight" Jason Statham in Transporter 2 was certainly one of the highlights - he's a super nice guy!

That's how I got started working in movies more, because of my martial arts background I was able to break into stunt fighting. I've also worked with Burt Reynolds, Christie Brinkley, Marissa Miller, Amber Valletta, and Richard Petty just to name a few - they were all very nice people, professional and nice.

Long Term Goals?

I love doing what I do. I want to keep doing it for as long as I am able. I've written a trilogy of short stories. One of them I've already produced, acted and sing in, and musically scored. Its an award winning short film called "Prophet". I want to do more of that; creating by myself and with others from start to finish, to tell stores, whether it be by acting, music, art, writing and even modeling...just to be able to create is a gift that I appreciate more and more everyday!
