February Model of the Month, Meghan!

Where are you from?

Brooklyn, New York (born and raised)

Tell us about yourself. Why do you want to work as a model? What got you interested in this career?

Ever since my teenage years I've admired the modeling industry. However, as I looked more closely, I noticed a lack of Asian representation that truly reflected people who looked like me. That absence fueled my ambition and drive to be part of meaningful change. I aspire to challenge narrow perceptions and showcase the diversity within the Asian community - because there is no single way to be Asian, and we should never be confined to stereotypes.

Did you attend modeling or acting school? Whats your educational background?

I graduated from Hunter College in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Film and Media, concentrating in documentary and television studio production.

In addition to my academic background, I trained at Coco Rocha's Modeling Camp in 2017 and previously attended Social New York, gaining early exposure to the modeling industry.

What is one thing you wish you knew when you were younger?

I wish I didn't stress so much about the future, especially when it comes to societal imaginary timelines as well as comparing myself to others! Taking it slow and going at your own pace matters more.

What quote do you live by?

"You are allowed to take up space."

Own who you are. Never shrink your voice, your presence, your ambitions, or your identity to make others comfortable. You're allowed to speak, to be seen, to have needs, opinions, and dreams without apologizing for them.
