Where are you from?
I'm from Burlingame, California, now live in New York!
Tell us about yourself. Why do you want to work as a model? What got you interested in this career?
Honestly, I didn't seek out modeling, I sort of stumbled my way into it. One of my moms yoga class friends was a photographer and I went to yoga with her and her friend mentioned I should get into it and apply to agencies so I did.
Then it snowballed from there to where I am now. I never thought of it as a career, I still think everyday "I don't know how I'm modeling right now there are so many beautiful people out there." I know what you want to hear, that modeling is a passion and it's my calling. But truth is NYC is a hard place to live and doing these gigs is a great way to supplement income. However, I really enjoy it and am very grateful for it.
Whats your educational background?
I didn't go to modeling or acting school but I attended college by playing soccer. I played at cal poly San Luis Obispo and Elon University. College is also where I fell into modeling and a little acting.
What is one thing you wish you knew when you were younger?
That no one is coming to save you. You wait around for someone to give you a break or piece of advice that'll thrust you to stardom or whatever career you're in. That never comes, it builds slowly from the decisions and actions you choose everyday. If you want to do something, just do it, and do it as best you can.
